Looks like Therrien didn't learn from his mistakes in Pittsburgh. (and Montreal)

Is it to late to get Roy?

But seriously, how hard is it to understand that the more ice-time Subban gets, the better chances of winning the habs have. He is our best player after all.

Also, if Therrien pisses of Subban, well he is just gonna sign a two year deal with the habs and then leave as a UFA after.

Subban is an UNDER PAID superstar and the way he is treated by Therrien is going to cost him his job one day. It will also cost the franchise the loss of PK. I will bet he will never sign a contract that will take him past the time he becomes a UFA. PK is a good guy on and off the ice, he is so fun to watch and if I was a true Hab fan I would be furious that he is not on the ice when the game is on the line.

I see PK as a valuable asset but he is over valued by Habs fans excessively. He is like a young Dion Phanuef. Great player, entertaining to his teams fan base, but costs the team as well. He regularly goes out and tries to toss the biggest hit in the history of the game, misses, falls along the boards, and is out of position and costs his team a goal. At the same time, he could go out toss the hit, not trying to kill the guy, land it, change possession, and have it passed back to him to score a goal with his ROCKET of a shot. He is a hell of a talent. But hell of a risk as well. If Therrien left him in and he tossed one of these hits and missed and cost the Habs a goal in regulation, costing them 1 point, how would fans feel? Not to mention PK was shaken up with a blocked shot off his left wrist and held it (his left wrist/fore arm) after a hit later as well. Maybe Therrien knows something we don't.

you know what's funny?
this is the problem. the way the habs have handled them have allowed for a perception like this to be possible.

he's not over-valued by the fans. he's amazing, and if they let him be himself from day 1, it would never be possible for this opinion to come out.

Also, on that last point, he missed half a shift, and he was absolutely fine after the game. I spoke to him.

And, there's nothing to the idea that Therrien should be wary, Douglas Murray's gaff on the first goal cost them the game much more than a mistake Subban made on an insurance goal for Colorado cost them one on Saturday. And Murray was on the ice regularly in the final 10-minutes of this 3-2 loss.

I did not watch the game, basing my opinion on TSN's highlight's, for tonights game. I live in the west, and much like everyone in west blames the east-west thing on awards and respect towards players in the west's skills, the same can be said west-east. I, living in the west, also cheer for a team in the west, meaning I pay more attention to the teams in the west's games. A good friend of mine is a Hab's fan and has been applauding PK as the 2nd coming of Robinson since the day PK took the ice. "He will be our next captain," "first pairing team Canada after Vancouver," ect. I look at things objectively both ways. PK is a GREAT offensive D-man, has flaws in his D game. Especially against a team that can fly and he thinks he might make a game changing hit (which he can and does). Maybe Therrien wanted to preach defensive responsibility and hope to teach a lesson to PK. Its better done now, then when it could cost you 2 points in April and a playoff spot no?

Oh, and I said Murray was a mistake for the Habs from the day they signed him. Brings some defensive upside, but he is one of the slowest skaters in the game. I think it would be much more profitable to bring up Tinordi/Beaulieu and get them consistent time then Dougy.

The habs only had one PP. If they had more, Subban would have been on the ice more than 21 minutes.

Its a bit of a non story but at the end of the day you'd think he'd see some ice towards the end of the game, a little offensive flair wouldn't have hurt, it may have even created a few PP opportunities. Pleks looked brutal in the penalty shot. All in all though decent game, I thought Price was stellar again.
